A male Lagoon Bloodhound (aka. Lagoonies) is presenting proudly his male ornamented Leaper.

Leapers live in the plainlands and valleys, but Plain Bloodhounds are too large to ride them. The only Hounds who are small enough to do so are the Lagoonies and the Swamp Hounds. The Swamp Hounds though don't like to locomote very fast and fast is what Leapers are.

So the small and agile Lagoon Hounds became experts in matters of breeding, keeping and taking care of Leapers. They are in fact the only ones who breed them sucessfully and if you'd ever would like to buy a Leaper, you'd have to search for the Lagoonies. Though they sell a beast only, if they know, that it ends up in good hands/paws/tentacles/upperlimbsofchoice.

Lagoonies are proud of their Leapers and they like to hold exhibitions and races.

In the races the Hounds primarely use the male's urge to run and leap, which is a natural courtship behaviour.

helped me with his one, giving me redlines and advice. It was also his idea to leave the background slice black and white, so that the entire picture doesn't get too colourful and therefor distract from its two major characters.
To me it feels a bit weird, but I won't colour the background, trusting that he knows what he says. ^^

Sadly I have to say, that the scanner ate up a lot of the grey shades, once again. >_O

Nevertheless I must confess that I like the Lagoonie's design a lot. He looks pretty feline, but that's wanted.
