Finished this just a moment ago, because I wanted to have her out of my head, before I re-start studying.
The sketch for this one must be over three years old by now. I remember wanting to draw her for the EuroFurence 9 art show, but then I liked the sketch too much for giving it away for money. On the one hand it's sad, that it had to wait for completition so long, on the other hand it was good, because my colouring skills now are much better than three years ago. Her bird part is undefined, but her feline part is a King cheetah. I had left away the wings, because 1) I liked how her back had turned out and 2) I had no idea how to draw the wings correctly in that pose. The colouring turned out surprisingly well, as I have used no reference for it whatsoever (while I did use references for the body and the statue in the back when sketching it). Too late I remembered that I wanted to make her blind. The eye was meant to be milky white, with a blueish or really bright lilca tint. Mah. EDIT: Added a little highlight to her beak, so that it stands out a bit more at least. |
