Fuu... the sketch for this Barn Owl Gryph is over a year old. -_- I hate it when it takes me so long to finish a picture. *sighs*
Please don't ask me what the hell I was thinking about the anatomy in this one. It pretty much makes no sense at all. I had used a postcard of a barn owl as a reference, which stretched out its wing and somehow just two days ago it occured to me, that this pose looks cool, but it is impossible that a (cat)bird can fly like that. *moans* Anyway... I din't want to waste the sketch and I promised a friend to finish this and so I did. The original shall be available at this year's AC ... unless I fail. *g* |

The wings would not be visible from such an angle when in flight, at least not that I could think off... plus there's that weird second row of feathers at the height of the gryphs back and I have nooo clue what I intended with that. Xp
